I am running to give you an option, an Independent option!

I am a business woman, not a politician. I have run for office before and care about the direction our nation is heading. If elected it will send a message that members of Congress can be replaced and with a 9% “approval” rating, that the constituents of Florida’s 20th District had the courage to vote for true change. It would allow fresh ideas and show that entrenched career politicians with obscene amounts of money in their campaign coffers are not assured re-election. Frankly, I also believe Ms. Wasserman Schultz would benefit from having an opportunity to get an ordinary job or start her own business and experience the trials of most Americans earning a living and living within a budget.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz would have been unopposed, as she was in 2006, if I were not running. I ran against Ms. Wasserman Schultz in 2004 for the open congressional seat. Wasserman Schultz, a career politician, won with 70% of vote and boasts that she won by a landslide! Well, truth is, she spent an obscene “landslide” of money, about $1.2 million dollars to my $30,000. I could boast that I got the highest number of votes per dollar spent and she spent 27 times as much for each of her votes. Once again proving that money runs Washington, which is broken and broke.
